How to Unleash Your Superhuman Mind Powers

Last night I stayed up until 1 o’clock in the morning absolutely riveted to my TV set.
I’m happy to say that I was NOT watching the news (I actually gave up on that a long time ago).
I was watching a show on the Science/Discovery Channel about four REAL people who have extraordinary mental powers.
A real Fantastic Four, if you will.
There was a guy from the Netherlands who was called the ICE MAN. He has the ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures.
I don’t know how he does it (and neither do the scientists), but he’s able to warm his body temperature just with his thoughts (I’ve read that there are some Yogis that can do this as well).
He once sat buried up to his neck in a pool of ice for over an hour!
Last night they showed him running a half marathon in frigid temperatures (up in the Arctic Circle) — with nothing on except a pair of shorts!!!
He was completely topless and barefoot in minus -30C temperatures!!
After the race the doctor told him they would have to amputate his toes because they were frozen dead.
No problem for the ICE MAN…
He simply *willed* his toes back to life with his mind!
The doctor was shocked.
Amazing….!!
“The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven.” ~ John Milton
Then, there was the HUMAN CALCULATOR; a guy from Germany who can solve complex (and I mean VERY COMPLEX) formulas inside his head.
And he can do it faster than someone using a calculator!!!
The guy can also speak backwards; not only single words but entire sentences.
Wow!!
Now, this next person blew me away…
THE BLIND PAINTER
Yes…a blind man from Anchorage, Turkey who paints beautiful scenic paintings with his fingers. His creations are wonderful pieces of art.
Here’s one of his paintings…

Incredible isn’t it?
What’s even more amazing is that this man was born without eyes!
He’s never seen a color or scene in his entire life (at least not with his physical eyes).
He “sees” more with his fingers than some people do with their eyes.
And finally there was a woman from Switzerland known as the The Synaesthete.
Synaesthesia is an extremely rare neurological condition which is characterized by a “fusing” of the senses.
This woman was able to see and taste music!
According to her, each musical note has a specific color and pattern. And certain musical notes actually produce flavors on her tongue!
For example, a minor sixth has a creamy texture, while a perfect fourth tastes like mowed grass!
Incredible…
She also doesn’t like going to discos because the loud bass sounds give off these big black square boxes which annoy her.
Her memory is like a steel trap too; she can remember complex musical scores and whole lists of names just by reading it once.
I find all of this extremely fascinating.
And the reason I bring it up is because there is absolutely no limit to the human mind.
Anyone who believes otherwise is just fooling themselves.
The great American psychologist William James put it this way…
“Compared to what we should be, we are only half alive. We are making use of only a small part of our mind power. Deep down inside of us are vast powers we know nothing of and never use.”
I recently read somewhere that before the Industrial Revolution, people were more “in tune” with their natural mind powers.
Although technological progress has contributed immensely to making our lives easier, I believe that its also had a somewhat negative effect on our natural ability to heal, reduce stress and think creatively.
We are ALL blessed with awesome mental capabilities.
Right now, your mind has the power to answer and solve any of your problems, dilemmas and personal challenges.
ALL of them …
You have the power to create your perfect life; you can have the ideal business, job, friends, mate and home.
You are not limited in any way by your environment, your background, your intelligence or even by lack of money.
If you learn how to tap the vast potential of your mind, infinite resources are at your command.
Unfortunately, many people don’t realize the awesome powers they possess — or if they do, they don’t exercise them properly or as often as they should.
“Man’s power to think is infinite, consequently his creative power is unlimited.” ~ Charles Haanel
While its true that some individuals — like the four people I mentioned earlier — seem to have been born with incredible mental gifts, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have the capacity for some pretty amazing mental powers yourself.
We all do.
Here are three ways to develop and hone your mind powers..
======================================
3 Ways to Unleash Your Superhuman Mind Powers
======================================
=> 1) BELIEVE
The first key to unleashing your mind power is to simply claim it.
Many people don’t believe they possess extraordinary mind powers and as a result, they inadvertently keep them dormant.
Belief in yourself and your capabilities is the most important factor in harnessing your incredible mental gifts.
“Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen.” ~ Foka Gomez
You don’t believe you have mental powers?
Try this challenge for a week…
Before you begin each day, simply create it in your mind first.
Think of your day exactly the way you would like it to be. Write a list of things you would like to see happen in a journal or notebook for each day.
For example, if you have an upcoming meeting, see it first in your minds eye exactly how you want it to go.
Carry these thoughts and pictures with you as you go about your day. Try not to negate them with negative or fearful thinking.
Eventually, you will begin to see a pattern emerge; a pattern which you had a hand in creating!
At the end of the week, you will be amazed at how really powerful you are in creating your own reality. Many of the things you wrote in your journal will have transpired.
“Every person is the creation of himself, the image of his own thinking and believing. As individuals think and believe, so they are.” ~ Claude M. Bristol
=> 2) BE FOCUSED
Many people say they understand mental principles like the law of attraction and positive thinking, but one day they’re thinking about one thing, the next day about something else and a week later, they’re involved with something completely different.
Is it any wonder why people don’t get the results they want?
People who exhibit strong mental powers have an uncanny ability to CONCENTRATE.
They’re not scattered or indecisive like most people.
If they have a goal, it’s usually sharp, clear-cut and definite.
For example, if they need a certain amount of money, they’re focused on the actual amount and specific steps required to acquire it.
Concentration is crucial to harnessing your mental powers …and getting the RESULTS you seek.
“Ninety percent of my game is mental. It’s my concentration that has gotten me this far.” ~ Chris Evert
How does one go about developing concentration?
By waking up more of your idle brain cells.
“Most of our high-talent brain cells never wake up of their own accord, but remain sleeping slackers and go with us to our graves, unless some emotional experiences wakes them up …develops them. The most valuable thing that can come into anyone’s life is that book, that proverb, that experience, that person, that emergency or incident that introduces a man or woman to his or her inner unknown powers.” ~ Frank Tibolt, author of A Touch of Greatness.
One excellent way to develop concentration is by writing.
In fact, writing forces us to think. It has ten times the power to force us to concentrate and think accurately, exactly, and meaningfully as mere talking or silent pondering.
Forcing yourself to write harnesses a group of brain cells to produce thoughts.
If you have a challenging problem or situation, write about it and try to figure it out. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish by focusing your thoughts as you write.
But by far the best way to develop concentration and your mind powers is by meditating…
=> 3) Meditate
One thing I found interesting about the ICE MAN was that he meditated a lot.
Whenever he needed to warm up his body temperature, he became engrossed in thought.
By focusing and concentrating on positive thoughts, he was also able to revitalize his dead frozen toes, as I mentioned.
Meditation is a powerful tool for developing your mental powers.
Why?
Because meditation creates a gateway to your subconscious mind.
As any psychologist or personal development expert will tell you…”All personal changes must take place at the subconscious level.”
“It is in the Silence that you get into touch with the Omnipotent power of the subconscious mind from which all power is evolved.”
~ Charles Haanel
In order to unlock your full human potential – the greatness within you – you must learn how to harness and re-direct your brain’s incredible powers.
You must be able to shift your state of mind into optimal patterns of thinking and consciousness.
It is in these optimal mind states where magic and miracles can happen.
Only through meditation and contemplation can your reach this place of unlimited mind power.
** If you’re looking for a fast, easy and highly effective way to meditate, take a look at these inexpensive Mind Power SoundScapes. Thousands of people consider them a SECRET WEAPON for experiencing deep relaxation, reducing stress (especially around the Holidays) and for getting results.
Our minds are not only our greatest assets, but they’re our greatest liabilities as well.
Each of us is born with a vast potential for achievement. We truly do have unfathomable mind powers at our disposal.
How we choose to use and develop our minds, is the one of the biggest factors for our success or failure.
We have the choice to accept life as it happens to us, or we can use our superhuman mind powers to mold and shape it to the way we want it to be.

Hi Alex,
Again, so very true!
Best,
Lauri
Hi Alex
This is all so very true. My experience is only recent but goes back to the start of 12 months ago. I stated that I would be earning a certain amount of money by Xmas this year. I have since found a better job with the pay that I envisaged. The job was nearly a loss as I had 2nd thoughts – soon reaffirmed my intention to own the job and was contacted again with the firm offer. Hence I was successful and the original pay offer was less than desired – but a pay rise was then forthcoming. What you think about you bring about. The power of positive thinking, meditation and intention is the best way to improve your lot in life. Keep up the good work, love the emails.

All i can say is “WOW”..I am speechless beyond that…
Dear sir:
There is no way for me to thank you for this article. May this universe return this favor to you seven-fold.

Hi Alex
I really enjoyed this article. It has helped me to remember the real power of the mind. I keep thinking, I really should spend time meditating, but somehow I’m always too busy, too tired etc etc. My New Year’s resolution has really got to be to take more time for myself. Develop my concentration. Relax more. I love walks in the forest, and I should get more exercise (not running around in the frozen wastes though lol, more a stroll). Keep up the good work, reminding us about the possibilities out there.
Best wishes

I am 54 years old …been listening to you for a few years and have bought your tapes and reccommended books. Just 10 years ago I was newly divorced, penniless, seriously in debt, having problems with my children, and lost my job due to surgery as a result of injury. It was pretty bad. I wrote a very powerful letter to myself and dated it it for May 2009. I wrote it like I was in the present and how I wished to see my life. I was very detailed. I described my home, my partner, the car I was driving, my financial situation, my job and my relationships. I was very grateful and the end of writing it. I began to read it everyday for a little while until I could really believe it and see it and when I had internalized it I put it away and basically forgot about it. Over the course of the next nine or so years I moved six times (I thought I had lost the letter)…with each move somehow my situation improved even though I hated the fact that I had to move. Last month I moved for what I believe will be the last time (only the universe knows for sure) but as I was unpacking a box I found the letter ( along with a lot of other things I had written) and I read it …. I was amazed I began to cry and I was filled up with emotion…because I am the person now who wrote that letter. I have the house, I have the partner, I have the car and I am enjoying wonderful relationships with my family and friends. What is really amazing is the details …I described my front entrance to the house, I described my garden, I described my kitchen table, the books and paintings on the walls…It is all here in my physical reality. I almost fell over when I read it! I am just really thankful that I dreamed big that day and did not settle for what I thought I could have and I thought about what I really wanted…cause here I am…living proof of the power of the mind and the universe. You helped, your newsletter and your books and your simple yet powerful philosophy. I could go on and on with more amazing details…but the biggest thing I learned is that sometimes when we think things are falling apart they are really falling together and our resistanced just impedes the time we eventually get there…cause we do get there!
Thank you all for the kind words.
Cherrill…that is a wonderful story! I’m very glad for you.
What you said here is very profound:
“but the biggest thing I learned is that sometimes when we think things are falling apart they are really falling together and our resistanced just impedes the time we eventually get there…cause we do get there!”
Isn’t this the truth?
Sometimes when life seems to be going awry, it is actually changing to the way you want it.
Thanks for sharing that.

what i find extremely interesting is that all of these abilities are observed in some autistic people as well
